CO2Blast presents a non-abrasive alternative to traditional methods like sandblasting, which can potentially damage surfaces due to its abrasive nature. Our dry ice blasting process ensures the safe removal of contaminants without any adverse impact on the underlying surface. We proudly serve Western Canada, providing effective and surface-friendly cleaning solutions.

CO2Blast offers an eco-friendly and highly effective cleaning method known as dry ice blasting, surpassing traditional techniques like sandblasting and chemical cleaning. We transform recycled carbon dioxide into dry ice pellets and employ specialized equipment to propel them at high pressure onto surfaces. Upon impact, the CO2 undergoes sublimation, transitioning from a solid to a gas, creating a powerful snowflow that dislodges contaminants without causing damage or leaving waste. This sublimation process significantly increases gas volume, making dry ice blasting an efficient and environmentally friendly cleaning solution.

Indeed, CO2Blast is highly effective at removing graffiti, adhesives, and other stubborn contaminants without causing harm to the underlying surface.

CO2Blast operates through three key mechanisms:

  1. Kinetic Energy: High-speed compressed air propels lightweight CO2 particles, enabling them to puncture and chip away at contaminants, exposing their surfaces.

  2. Micro-Thermal Shock: A rapid, localized cold shock is applied to contaminants, creating a temperature difference between the contaminant and the substrate. This temperature variance facilitates separation between the two.

  3. Sublimation: CO2 sublimates upon impact, transitioning from a solid to a gas. This expansion, which can increase volume by up to 700%, occurs within cracks in the contaminant, breaking it apart from the inside and making a significant contribution to the cleaning process.

CO2Blast offers an eco-friendly and highly efficient cleaning method known as dry ice blasting. It effectively eliminates contaminants such as grease, paint, and rust from various surfaces while maintaining their integrity. This non-abrasive, non-toxic process minimizes downtime, leaves no residue, and prioritizes safety for operators and the environment. Its versatility ensures compliance with industry regulations and reduces equipment wear and tear, making it the preferred choice for a wide range of applications.

Absolutely, dry ice blasting is a safe method for cleaning electrical components and machinery. This non-conductive process ensures the protection of sensitive equipment without causing any damage.
